SS18 WOMEN'S READY TO WEAR CAPSULE COLLECTION

COLOMBIAMODA 2020

This capsule collection was launched as part of YUU’s participation in the virtual edition of Colombian Fashion Week during the pandemic.

Yokai presents an animated universe in which a variety of fantastical characters, inspired by Japanese spirits, emerge through embroidery on linen garments and appliqués.

PICK AND PATCH

Along with the garments, six machine-embroidered patch designs were created for garment customization.

Each design portrays a yokai, a FANTASTIC CHARACTER INSPIRED IN THE JAPANESE FOLKLORE. A short story accompanying each character was printed and included with the product to enrich the customer experience.

WHAT IS YUU?

YUU was the former name of my brand (2016–2021), marking the beginning of my journey within the fashion industry during my years in fashion school.

This was my very first commercial collection, I did it right when I learned how to construct basic skirts, trousers, and blouses.
